The makers of Bethlehem Kudumba Unit have unveiled the video song “Illey Illa,” introducing audiences to another musical element from the upcoming Malayalam film. Driven by lively vocals, rich instrumental work, and Vishnu Vijay’s musical approach, the track brings a bright and engaging feel to the film’s soundtrack.

Vishnu Vijay is behind the song’s composition and musical arrangement, and he also lends his flute performance to the track. Singer Kapil Kapilan provides the lead vocals, with lyrics written by Suhail Koya. The song also features a kids’ chorus performed by Chinmayi Kiranlal, Vasudev, and Nila Raj, adding a playful and youthful element to the track.

The arrangement brings together several live musicians. Keba Jeremiah contributes electric guitar, while Viji performs the trumpet. The combination of these instruments gives “Illey Illa” a layered musical character without making the arrangement overly complicated.

The kids’ chorus was recorded at M Lounge Studios in Kochi, while the singer vocals and instrumental sessions took place at 2 Bar Q Studios in Chennai. Amal Raj, Ajay Surya, Amal Mithu, and other members of the recording team handled the technical work across the sessions. Mixing and mastering were completed by Sujith Sreedhar at The Masterhouse, 2 Bar Q Studios, Chennai.

Bethlehem Kudumba Unit is directed by Girish A D, who has also written the film along with Kiran Josey. The movie is produced by Dileesh Pothan, Fahadh Faasil, and Syam Pushkaran under Bhavana Studios.

The film features an ensemble cast led by Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju, alongside Sangeeth Prathap, Suresh Krishna, Vinay Forrt, Roshan Shanavas, Shyam Mohan, Srinda, Parvathy Ayyappadas, Meenakshy Raveendran, Bindu Panicker, and several other performers.

Behind the camera, Ajmal Sabu handles cinematography, while Akash Joseph Varghese is responsible for editing. Ashik S serves as the production designer, with sound design by Sankaran A S and K C Sidharthan. Vishnu Sujathan handles the sound mix, while Egg White VFX takes care of the visual effects.

With its music led by Vishnu Vijay and a cast featuring Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju, Bethlehem Kudumba Unit is gearing up for its theatrical release. The film is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on August 21, 2026.
