Fans of Tamil cinema are gearing up for one of the most anticipated action thrillers of 2025: Madharasi Movie Sivakarthikeyan, directed by A.R. Murugadoss and starring Sivakarthikeyan. After years of speculation, the film is now confirmed to release in theatres worldwide on September 5, 2025.

At the center is Sivakarthikeyan in a rugged, intense avatar, marking his first collaboration with Murugadoss. He shares the screen with Rukmini Vasanth, Vidyut Jammwal, Biju Menon, Vikranth, and Shabeer Kallarakkal. The ensemble also includes other notable faces such as Prem Kumar, Sanjay, and Sachana Namidass.

This project marks director A.R. Murugadoss’ big return after a five-year hiatus. Known for his blend of mass appeal and social themes, Murugadoss re-teams with composer Anirudh Ravichander, cinematographer Sudeep Elamon, and editor A. Sreekar Prasad—a technical core that promises high production value and cinematic impact.

The first single of Madharasi Movie Sivakarthikeyan, titled “Salambala”, composed by Anirudh, dropped on July 31, 2025. Sung by Sai Abhayankkar and laced with energetic rhythms and dance, it has already thrilled fans online. A grand audio launch is scheduled in London, adding to the film’s international buzz.

The release is confirmed on September 5, 2025 across Tamil Nadu and dubbed versions in Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi—where it will be titled Dil Madharasi.
