AGS Entertainment, one of Tamil cinema’s most successful production houses, has officially launched its 28th film, tentatively titled AGS 28. The AGS 28 Update project brings together an interesting cast, including veteran actor Arjun, versatile performer Abhirami, and rising star Preity Mukhundhan, under the direction of debutant filmmaker Subash K Raj.
Subash K Raj, who has previously assisted filmmaker Pradeep Ranganathan, steps into the director’s chair for the first time with this film. While the makers have kept the storyline under wraps, they have confirmed that AGS 28 Update will be a wholesome family entertainer, a genre that AGS has often excelled in delivering to audiences.
Apart from the lead trio, the film also boasts a strong supporting cast featuring Vivek Prasanna, John Kokken, Arjun Chidambaram, Pawan, Dileepan, Vinod Sagar, and Bala Hasan R. This ensemble promises a dynamic mix of performances, blending experience with fresh energy.
AGS 28 Update –
One of the major highlights of AGS 28 Update is its music. The film marks the Tamil debut of composer Ravi Basrur, best known for his powerful and chart-topping background score in the KGF. His inclusion has already raised expectations, as audiences eagerly anticipate how his distinct style of music will elevate the film’s emotional and dramatic moments.
The technical team further strengthens the film’s foundation, with Arun Radhakrishnan handling cinematography, Pradeep E Ragav managing editing, and Veeramani Ganesan overseeing art direction. Archana Kalpathi and Aishwarya Kalpathi lead the creative side, while producers Kalpathi S Aghoram, Kalpathi S Ganesh, and Kalpathi S Suresh bring the project to life under AGS.
The lead actors also bring strong momentum from their recent projects. Arjun, last seen in Aghathiyaa, is currently directing Seetha Payanam, while Abhirami was recently praised for her role as Kamal Haasan’s wife in Mani Ratnam’s Thug Life. Preity Mukhundhan, on the other hand, is steadily building her career with roles in Kannappa, her Malayalam debut Maine Pyar Kiya, and the upcoming Tamil film Idhayam Murali.
